Total Build Time: 944 Hours.
I began cutting holes in the instrument panel to install all of my avionics, switches and air vents. I started with the air eyeball vents since I wanted to set them as far outside on the panel as they would fit to give me the most room in the middle of the panel.
Next up are the lift reserve indicator, slip/skid indicator (inclinometer), MGL iEfis lite MFD (multifunction display) and MGL V6 Radio. My cardboard instrument panel cutouts worked great for planning the location of everything.
Finally the switches.
I then removed the components and fabricated some glareshield extensions that I’ll use to curl upholstry over the glareshield for a clean edge.
I then primed and painted the instrument panel, while also adding felt to the fuel tank straps.
Next comes wiring all of this equipment up!
